I came out to my family in my early 40's and most of them at least tolerated
my decision--a couple had a really hard time with it. I did the normal therapy, HRT under a doctor's care, and coming
out at work. After about a year, I went for surgery at age 44. I'm since semi-retired, had a long term lesbian
relationship--which I eventually terminated. I've moved a couple times and had on and off again relationships with family
members. I've found that the vast majority of guys are not interested in a post-op transsexual in her 40/50s--sorry
to burst your bubble girls. Moral of the story; if you are hoping to find Mr Wonderful, don't hold your breath.
I've learned that I'm attracted to both men and women--though only certain men and certain women--can't explain who that is
but I know when I meet them. I'm fairly preoccupied with me and my little world and don't even hope for a long-term
relationship. I enjoy great sex from time to time with someone special, and that's about it. I have a few great
friends and family members who I truly enjoy time with. I'm always opened to discussing any/all of this with anyone
truly interested. See my email address on the home page. Best of luck and love to all--I believe in the golden
rule and am into karma...I try not to hate on anyone because I don't want them doing it to me.
